Cares Crypto Offers 120% in 10 Hours. FCA Warned in 2023

The Financial Conduct Authority warned about Cares Crypto in October 2023 and listed two websites. One of them is now a parking page. The other is still running today, and it is offering 120% in ten hours.

What the FCA actually published

The notice is a plain unauthorised-firm warning, first published 13 October 2023 and last updated 19 June 2024. The wording is the FCA’s standard formula: “This firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without our permission. You should avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams.”

Three details are recorded against it: the name CARES CRYPTO, an address at 45 Welland Close, Slough, Berkshire SL3 8UP, the email support@carescrypto.com — and two websites: www.carescrypto.com and https://cares-crypto.com/.

That second address is the one that matters.

One domain died. The spare did not

We checked both on 11 September 2026. carescrypto.com now loads a GoDaddy parking page — “parked free, courtesy of GoDaddy.com”, with auto-generated search prompts underneath, one of which is “Cares Crypto Scam”.

cares-crypto.com is fully operational. Live price ticker, login and registration forms, a chat widget saying “We are online”, and a copyright line reading © 2026. Nearly three years after a regulator told the public to avoid it.

Registering a second domain before the first is burned is not carelessness, it is a continuity plan. The only reason the replacement can still be identified is that the FCA published both addresses on the same notice — which is why reading a warning in full matters more than reading its headline.

The numbers on the live site

Four plans are advertised, and the returns are not disguised:

  • Bronze — 25% after 24 hours. $200 to $1,000
  • Silver — 35% after 24 hours. $500 to $3,500
  • Gold — 75% after 18 hours. $3,000 to $6,000
  • VIP — 120% after 10 hours. $5,000 minimum, maximum “Unlimited”

Alongside them sits a 15% referral commission, described on the page as an affiliate programme where “an active deposit is not mandatory in order to get referral commissions”.

Read those two things together. A business that could turn $5,000 into $11,000 by lunchtime would not need to pay strangers 15% to bring in more depositors. The referral scheme is not marketing attached to the returns — it is the source of them. Money from later depositors pays earlier ones until the flow stops.

The sentence that ends the argument

The footer states: “Here at Cares Crypto, we guarantee you financial freedom when you invest with us.”

No firm authorised anywhere can promise a guaranteed return, because none can deliver one. Crypto prices fall. A platform that guarantees profit either does not invest the money at all, or is paying you with someone else’s.

What is not on the site

We searched the page source for the words any regulated operator puts in its own footer: authorised, regulated, licence, licence number, company number, registration number, FCA, ASIC, CySEC. Not one appears. There is no company number, no registered address, and no regulator named anywhere — not even the Slough address the FCA has on file.

What is there instead: a claim of “more than 2,000,000 people” served, a claim of “over 8 years in the market” that becomes “a decade” two paragraphs later, four staff portraits looping on repeat, and a live ticker of deposits — “Davide from Itally deposited $400.00”, misspelling included. Every proof offered is a claim the site makes about itself. The same absence runs through other cloud-mining platforms we have examined.

What it means if you have money in there

Because Cares Crypto is not authorised, nobody who deals with it has access to the Financial Ombudsman Service, and nothing paid in is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. There is no fund to claim against and no adjudicator to appeal to.

What remains is the payment route. Card payments may be reversible through chargeback; bank transfers depend on your bank’s fraud team and how fast the transfer is reported; crypto sent to a wallet is effectively gone. That is why the date you act matters more than the amount, as it did for everyone who waited for a withdrawal that was never coming.

Verified evidence — checked 11 September 2026

  • FCA warning CARES CRYPTO, first published 13 Oct 2023, last updated 19 Jun 2024. Plain unauthorised-firm warning, not a clone.
  • Details on the notice: 45 Welland Close, Slough, Berkshire SL3 8UP · support@carescrypto.com · websites www.carescrypto.com and cares-crypto.com.
  • carescrypto.com now returns a GoDaddy parking page (“parked free, courtesy of GoDaddy.com”).
  • cares-crypto.com is live and operating, copyright line © 2026.
  • Plans advertised: 25% after 24h ($200-$1,000); 35% after 24h ($500-$3,500); 75% after 18h ($3,000-$6,000); 120% after 10 hours ($5,000 to “Unlimited”).
  • 15% referral commission; no active deposit required to earn it.
  • Footer text: “we guarantee you financial freedom when you invest with us”.
  • No regulator, licence number, company number or registered address appears anywhere on the site.
  • Self-reported claims only: “more than 2,000,000 people”, “over 8 years” (elsewhere “a decade”), looping staff portraits, a deposit ticker reading “Davide from Itally”.
  • Not authorised: no Financial Ombudsman Service access, no FSCS protection.

Our verdict

Read the whole warning, not the headline. An FCA notice lists every website the operation was using when it was reported. When two domains appear on one notice, the second is usually the one still taking deposits after the first goes quiet — and here it has been taking them for nearly three years.

Nothing on cares-crypto.com can be checked: no company number, no licence, no regulator, no verifiable address, and a return rate that does not exist in any market. The one number worth trusting is the date on the FCA notice.

If you have sent money to either address, tell your bank today and report it to Action Fraud. A site still being online does not mean anyone is coming back to pay you — it means it is still open to the next person.
