Verdict up front: Carlton FX (carltonfx.com) opens with a pop-up headed “Carlton FX CRM Upgraded”. It asks “all clients to reset their CRM account passwords” and says “the KYC verification status has been reset” — so clients must upload their documents again. It is listed on the BrokersView (FastBull) scam broker list. The domain was registered on 5 December 2022 — about 3 years 10 months ago.

Your ID, again
Asking every client to re-send passports and proof of address is a red flag. Identity documents are valuable to criminals. A regulated broker would not wipe its clients’ verification and ask for everything again through a website pop-up.

Licensed by nobody named
“Why Carlton Fx? Licensed – Backed by strong financial compliance framework.” The site never says which regulator granted the licence or what its number is.
25 awards, 40,000 instruments
The firm claims to be a “Winner of 25+ international awards” and to offer more than 40,000 instruments. It names no award and no regulator. Figures like these belong to the world’s largest brokers, whose licences are public.
A new portal
The pop-up sends clients to broker.carltonfx.net, a different domain from the main site. Changing login portals is how some platforms move clients before they disappear.
⚠ Verified evidence
- Listed on the BrokersView (FastBull) scam broker list.
- Pop-up asks every client to re-upload KYC documents.
- Claims 25+ awards and a licence it never names.
- Domain registered 5 December 2022.
How to check
Search the firm’s exact name and web address on the register of the regulator in your own country, and on IOSCO’s I-SCAN list. A real broker shows a licence number you can look up in under a minute — and the regulator’s own register links back to the broker’s real website.
What to do if you paid Carlton FX
- Stop sending money — no “tax”, “release fee” or “upgrade” will unlock a withdrawal.
- Keep every record: receipts, wallet addresses, emails and chat screenshots.
- Call your bank or card issuer today and ask about a chargeback or recall.
- Report it to the regulator that issued the warning and to your local police.
- Ignore anyone who offers to recover the money for an upfront fee.
The verdict: Carlton FX wants your identity documents again and shows no licence. Do not upload or deposit.
