TheWealthAscend (thewealthascend.net) presents itself as a financial learning platform. The tagline is calm and literary: “where possibility becomes direction”. Press the Start Learning button, though, and you land on a webtrader login hosted on another domain. Switzerland’s regulator FINMA added the site to its warning list on 30 October 2026.
A UK company number is not a licence
The logo links to a UK company registration. Anyone can register a company in Britain online for a small fee. A registration says a company exists. It does not say the company may handle your money or offer you trading, which needs authorisation from a financial regulator. TheWealthAscend shows no such authorisation in the UK, in Switzerland or anywhere else, and carries no risk warning at all.
The site is seven months old. FINMA’s warning means it is offering services in or from Switzerland without the permission Swiss law requires. That is the regulator saying, in its own careful language, that you should stay away.
One rule for learning platforms
Start with the regulator, not the website.
Look up the firm on FINMA’s warning list, where it now appears. Ask your mentor for the licence number of the company that holds your money, and save the reply. Then test a small withdrawal before you add a single franc more.

A school whose classroom is a trading account
Education sites are a favourite cover for unlicensed brokers. The word learning lowers your guard, and the course quickly becomes a live account with an assigned “mentor”. On TheWealthAscend the platform sits at webtrader.trade-wealthasc.com, a separate address from the site you trusted.
