ROR Markets (rormarkets.com) offers forex, indices, commodities and stocks with fast execution and flexible leverage. Its footer claims three regulators at once: a Canadian business number, a Cayman Islands licence from CIMA, and authorisation by Italy’s CONSOB. BaFin warned on 29 September 2026 that ROR Markets falsely claims regulation in Canada, the Cayman Islands and Italy.
The dashboard always looks good
The homepage shows an open positions widget that is “all in profit”. It is a picture. Real brokers show risk warnings with the share of clients who lose money. ROR Markets shows a demo of winning instead.
If you deposited, ask your bank or card issuer about a chargeback and report the site to your national regulator.
Three licences, none of them real
| ROR Markets claims | Reality |
|---|---|
| Canada business number | A registration, not a licence |
| CIMA licence # 16854 | Named after a different Cayman fund company |
| CONSOB licence 4936 | CONSOB does not license forex brokers this way |
| Domain registered | 23 July 2026 |
| BaFin | Warning, 29 September 2026 |
The Cayman text even describes a mutual fund company with a segregated portfolio number, which has nothing to do with retail forex. The site copied regulatory words from wherever it could find them.
Is ROR Markets regulated by CONSOB?
BaFin says the CONSOB claim is false.
Is the CIMA licence real?
BaFin says the Cayman regulation claim is false too.
Quick verdict
Three false licence claims are three reasons to stay away.
ROR Markets: How to check a licence claim yourself
Take the licence number from the footer and search it on the regulator’s own website, which you find through a search engine, not a link on the broker’s site. On CIMA, check that the entity name and the business type match. On CONSOB, look for the firm in the official register of investment firms. A number that belongs to a different company, or to no company at all, is a false claim.
ROR Markets also lists the countries it will not serve, such as North Korea and Iran, to look compliant. Lists like this are copied from real broker sites. They prove nothing. The only proof is a matching entry on a regulator’s register, and BaFin has already said ROR Markets has none in the three places it names.
