XMR Markets Scam — Licensed Broker With No Licence Named

XMR Markets scam broker warning

Verdict up front: XMR Markets (xmrmarkets.com) calls itself a “LICENSED AND SUPERVISED BROKER” “built by traders for traders”. Chile’s regulator, the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF), warned about XMRmarket on 1 September 2025. The domain was registered on 18 November 2022 — nearly four years ago.

Licensed by whom?

The homepage says XMR Markets is licensed and supervised. It does not say by which regulator, in which country, or under which number. That is the one detail a real broker never leaves out, because clients and partners check it.

The regulator that did look

Chile’s CMF lists XMRmarket at xmrmarkets.com as a firm offering financial services without authorisation. The warning has been public for more than a year, and the site is still online.

Education as a sales funnel

The site promotes an “XMR Academy” and webinars. Free trading courses are a common way to build trust before an “account manager” suggests a larger deposit.

An older domain

The address is almost four years old, which can make the site look established. Age is not a licence.

⚠ Verified evidence

  • CMF Chile warning, 1 September 2025.
  • “Licensed and supervised” with no regulator named.
  • Academy and webinars used to build trust.
  • Still online a year after the warning.

How to check

Search the firm’s exact name and web address on the register of the regulator in your own country, and on IOSCO’s I-SCAN list. A real broker shows a licence number you can look up in under a minute — and the regulator’s own register links back to the broker’s real website.

What to do if you paid XMR Markets

  • Stop sending money — no “tax”, “release fee” or “upgrade” will unlock a withdrawal.
  • Keep every record: receipts, wallet addresses, emails and chat screenshots.
  • Call your bank or card issuer today and ask about a chargeback or recall.
  • Report it to the regulator that issued the warning and to your local police.
  • Ignore anyone who offers to recover the money for an upfront fee.

The verdict: XMR Markets claims a licence it does not name, and Chile’s regulator has warned about it. Do not deposit.
