This page previously carried the headline “Aggressive Reasons to Reject the MultiBankGroup Scam Platform Immediately”. We had no evidence for that claim. We have withdrawn it, and this is what the record actually shows.
The correction
MultiBank Group is a real trading group. Its own regulatory page lists licences held with ASIC in Australia, BaFin in Germany, CySEC in Cyprus, MAS in Singapore and several other authorities. We have not independently audited every one of those, and we make no claim about them here — but calling the group a “scam platform” was not something our research supported, and publishing it was wrong.
We also checked the Financial Conduct Authority’s warning list. There is no live FCA warning notice naming MultiBank Group. There is no entry for it on the FCA’s Financial Services Register either, which is unremarkable — a firm licensed in Australia or Germany would not normally appear on a UK register.
What does exist is a warning about something else entirely, with a similar name.
What the FCA actually published
On 21 December 2023 the FCA issued an unauthorised-firm warning against multi-bankpro.com. The wording is the standard formula: “This firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without our permission. You should avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams.”
The notice records two details, and only two:
- Website: www.multi-bankpro.com
- Email: multi@multi-banks.com
No address. No telephone number. No company name beyond the domain itself.
The detail worth noticing
The website is multi-bankpro.com. The email address sits on multi-banks.com — a different domain again.
That is a small thing that tells you a lot. A genuine firm’s email lives on its own domain; that is what a domain is for. An operation running mail from a second, similar-but-not-identical address is doing one of two things: it is hedging against the first domain being taken down, or the two names were bought at different times for different rounds of the same scheme. Either way, the name is a costume rather than an identity.
And note what is missing. A real financial firm must be contactable — that is a regulatory requirement, not a courtesy. This one gave the FCA no address and no phone number at all.
Both domains are gone
We checked on 11 September 2026. multi-bankpro.com returns no DNS record. multi-banks.com returns no DNS record either. Both are unregistered — the browser answers DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN, the response for a domain belonging to nobody.
Warned in December 2023, gone by 2026. The usual arc.
Why this distinction matters to you
Near-miss naming is one of the most effective tools in this business, and the reason is simple arithmetic: there is one correct spelling of a firm’s name and an unlimited supply of wrong ones. multi-bankpro.com, multi-banks.com — each is close enough to pass a glance and far enough to be a different company entirely.
So the check that protects you is not “does this name sound familiar”. It is: which exact entity holds which exact licence, and does the website I am on match it character for character? The same logic exposed a fake Admiral Markets that simply deleted the vowels, and seven fake XTBs, one using the real firm’s own head office address.
Verified evidence — checked 11 September 2026
- FCA warning against multi-bankpro.com, published 21 December 2023, not updated since. Unauthorised-firm warning, not a clone notice.
- The only details on the notice: website www.multi-bankpro.com, email multi@multi-banks.com. No address, no telephone number, no company name.
- Email domain (multi-banks.com) differs from the website domain (multi-bankpro.com).
- Both domains now return no DNS record (DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN).
- No live FCA warning notice names MultiBank Group, and the group does not appear on the FCA Financial Services Register — expected for a firm licensed outside the UK.
- MultiBank Group’s own published regulatory page lists licences with ASIC, BaFin, CySEC, MAS and others. Stated as their claim; not independently audited by us.
- The operation the FCA warned about is not authorised: no Financial Ombudsman Service access, no FSCS protection.
Our verdict
We got this page wrong the first time, and the correction is the most useful thing on it. A headline calling a licensed group a “scam platform” is not a strong warning — it is a false one, and false warnings make real ones easier to ignore.
The genuine finding is narrower and more practical: an unauthorised operation traded on a name close to a real group’s, gave the regulator no address and no phone number, ran its mail from a second lookalike domain, and has since vanished from the internet entirely.
If you dealt with multi-bankpro.com or received email from multi-banks.com, tell your bank today and report it to Action Fraud. And if you are checking any firm, check the exact spelling of the website against the exact entity named on the licence — that is where these operations always fail.
