Six Fake Admiral Markets. One Domain Now Costs $19,888

The Financial Conduct Authority has published six separate clone warnings about fake Admiral Markets. One took the name and deleted every vowel. Another ran on two Gmail accounts. One of the domains is now for sale at $19,888.

A correction first

An earlier version of this page treated Admiral Markets itself as the problem. That was wrong, and we have rewritten it.

Admiral Markets UK Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference number 595450, registered in London EC2N 1HN. Nothing here is a criticism of it. It is the firm being impersonated — repeatedly.

Six warnings, one name

The FCA has published clone notices naming: Admiral Markets Ltd, Admiral Trading, Admiral EU Brokers / admiraleubrokerz.com, admrlmrkts.co, admfxgltd.com, and a sixth covering five domains at once — fxsadmiral.com, admiral-fx.com, admiralsfx.org, admiralsfx.com and admiralsfx.net.

A clone warning means: “This firm is not authorised by us but has been contacting people pretending to be an authorised firm.” No Financial Ombudsman Service, no Financial Services Compensation Scheme, no recourse.

The vowels come out

Read admrlmrkts.co aloud. It is “admiralmarkets” with every vowel removed — a trick that produces a domain still readable to a human skimming an email, while being a completely different string to any filter matching on the real name.

admfxgltd.com is the same idea applied harder: adm-fx-g-ltd.

The notice for admrlmrkts.co, published 13 June 2024, also lists the emails it used: compliance.uk@admiralmarkets.io, support@admiralmarkets.io and support@admrlmrkts.co. Look at that middle domain. The genuine firm is at admiralmarkets.com. The clone registered the identical name on .io and then opened a mailbox called “compliance.uk” — because a message from a compliance department reads as a firm with departments.

The one that used Gmail

The five-domain notice, published 17 October 2023 and updated 5 June 2024, is the most revealing. It records six telephone numbers: 020 8157 2778, +44 7308 296971, +44 208 638 1041, +44 1935 315915, +44 7342 617659, and +1 647 977 8964, a Toronto number.

It also records more than ten email addresses. Two of them are @gmail.com: noah.sharples.fxadmirals@gmail.com and fxadmiral.lana.lehmans@gmail.com.

A regulated broker cannot run client correspondence through a free consumer mailbox — record-keeping rules alone make it impossible. If an email about your money arrives from Gmail, the conversation is over before it starts, whatever name appears above the signature.

A warned domain is now worth $19,888

We checked all eight addresses on 11 September 2026. Seven return no DNS record: admrlmrkts.co, admfxgltd.com, fxsadmiral.com, admiralsfx.org, admiralsfx.com, admiralsfx.net and admiralmarkets.io.

admiral-fx.com resolves — to a GoDaddy sales page, offered at $19,888 to buy or $1,658 a month to lease.

That price is the point. Nobody pays nearly twenty thousand dollars for eleven characters unless the name still pulls traffic and still clears spam filters. The domain’s value was built by the operation the FCA warned about, and it is now an asset on the open market. Whoever buys it inherits the search results, the inbound links and the mailing lists. We found exactly the same thing with a fake Pepperstone’s domain, listed at $995.

How to check properly, in two minutes

  • Look up the firm reference number yourself at register.fca.org.uk. Admiral Markets UK Ltd is 595450. Never use a number the caller supplied.
  • Call the number on the register, not the one in the email.
  • Read the domain letter by letter, including the ending. The real firm is admiralmarkets.com. Not .io, not .co, not admiral-fx.com.
  • Check the email domain. Gmail is disqualifying on its own.

Verified evidence — checked 11 September 2026

  • Admiral Markets UK Ltd is FCA authorised, FRN 595450, London EC2N 1HN. No connection with any clone below.
  • Six FCA clone notices: Admiral Markets Ltd; Admiral Trading; Admiral EU Brokers / admiraleubrokerz.com; admrlmrkts.co; admfxgltd.com; and fxsadmiral.com / admiral-fx.com / admiralsfx.org / admiralsfx.com / admiralsfx.net.
  • admrlmrkts.co (published 13 Jun 2024) — telephone +44 20 3097 2830; emails compliance.uk@admiralmarkets.io, support@admiralmarkets.io, support@admrlmrkts.co. The genuine firm is at admiralmarkets.com, not .io.
  • Five-domain notice (published 17 Oct 2023, updated 5 Jun 2024) — six phone numbers including +1 647 977 8964 (Toronto); over ten emails, two of them @gmail.com (noah.sharples.fxadmirals@gmail.com, fxadmiral.lana.lehmans@gmail.com).
  • Domain check: admrlmrkts.co, admfxgltd.com, fxsadmiral.com, admiralsfx.org, admiralsfx.com, admiralsfx.net and admiralmarkets.io all return no DNS record.
  • admiral-fx.com now serves a GoDaddy sales page: $19,888 to buy, $1,658/month to lease.
  • Clone firms are not authorised: no Financial Ombudsman Service access, no FSCS protection.

Our verdict

Six notices under one name, across at least ten domains, is an industry rather than an incident. And the methods on display are cheap: delete the vowels, move the name to a different ending, open a Gmail account, call from Toronto.

None of that survives a check that takes two minutes. What it survives is a glance — which is all most people give an email that already contains a familiar, genuinely regulated name. That is the entire business model, and it is why seven fake XTBs exist too, one of them using the real company’s head office address.

If you were contacted by “Admiral Markets” from any domain other than admiralmarkets.com, you were not speaking to the authorised firm. Tell your bank today and report it to Action Fraud.
