Verdict up front: Algo Trade AI tells visitors it is “Regulated by FINMA under Swiss financial law”. FINMA says the opposite: it has placed algo-trade-ai.com on its warning list of firms that may be operating without authorisation.
Key facts — checked 21 September 2026
Website: algo-trade-ai.com · Domain registered: 21 February 2026 · Regulator: On FINMA’s warning list since August 2026 · Status: Live — login portal loads today
A login page with a licence number
The site is a single “Account Access Portal”: an email box, a terms tick-box and a live-chat bot. Around it are the trust signals — $2.4B+ assets managed, 14,000+ active clients, 99.9% uptime — and a row of badges: FINMA Regulated, MiFID II, AML/KYC, ISO 27001, Segregated Accounts.
The footer gives an address at Bahnhofstrasse 12, 8001 Zürich, a company ID, a “FINMA Reg. No. 28456” and a copyright line for “SwissGroupWare Asset Management AG”.
The company number is a placeholder
Swiss company identification numbers follow the pattern CHE-xxx.xxx.xxx. The one printed on Algo Trade AI is CHE-123.456.789 — the digits one to nine in order. That is the kind of number a web designer types into a template before the real details arrive. It is not something a regulated asset manager prints on its client login page.

A 2025 copyright on a 2026 domain
The domain algo-trade-ai.com was registered on 21 February 2026. The footer copyright says © 2025. A firm managing $2.4 billion would have a history you could find: filings, staff, press, a real entry in FINMA’s register of authorised institutions. What we found instead is FINMA’s warning.
How to check a Swiss investment site in two minutes
Search the name on FINMA’s own warning list at finma.ch, then search it in FINMA’s register of authorised institutions. A firm that says it is supervised by FINMA will be in the second list, not the first. Then look up when the website’s domain was registered and compare that with any history the site claims. Finally, never let a “specialist” or “personal manager” call you and walk you through a deposit.
Our view: Algo Trade AI claims a FINMA licence that FINMA contradicts, and prints a placeholder company number. Do not sign in, do not deposit, and do not trust its live chat.
