Crybex (crybex.com) is a Russian-language crypto exchanger that swaps Bitcoin, Ether, USDT and Monero for cash, card payouts and PayPal. Its homepage calls it “a reliable and safe cryptocurrency exchanger”. The domain was registered on 2 May 2019. The Capital Market Authority of Montenegro warned about it on 8 May 2026.
Why an anonymous exchanger is a risk
In the EU, crypto exchange services need registration or, since MiCA, authorisation as a crypto-asset service provider. Switzerland and Canada have their own registration rules. Crybex shows none of them. When an order fails, there is no registered entity to complain to and no regulator that supervises it.
Cash meet-ups add a second risk. You hand over crypto, or cash, to a courier you have never met. If the other side does not deliver, the only record is a chat. Crypto sent to the exchanger’s wallet cannot be reversed by a bank.
Support for Monero is also worth noting. Monero hides sender, receiver and amount by design. An anonymous exchanger that pays out cash for an untraceable coin is exactly the kind of service regulators expect to see used to move stolen funds, which is a reason honest users get caught up when accounts are frozen.

Crybex: cash for crypto in dozens of cities
Crybex lists cash pick-up in cities across Ukraine, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, the USA and Canada, and says it trades Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 23:00 (GMT+2). It promises “pleasant bonuses” to regular users. What it does not list is a company. There is no legal name, no registration number and no address anywhere on the site, only a © 2026 line.
